A program to work with other Indian organizations, and Muslim organizations, in North America, to improve harmony between Indian Muslims and others.

Seminar and poster exhibition on the 50th anniversary of India's Independence Day in 1997.

1990 :

First convention of Indian Muslim expatriates in North America in Washington DC. Convention attended by about 400 Indian Muslims from various cities; the Indian ambassador to U.S. (Dr Abid Hussain); some Muslim leaders from India (Dr Asghar Ali Engineer, Mrs Sultana Ansari).

1992 :

Celebrated Eid-ul-Fitar in an interfaith format. Representatives of various major religions described the basic tenets of their religions.

Co-sponsored a conference of Indian communal harmony activists in collaboration with India Development Service in Chicago.

Cosponsored with the Indian Journalists Forum, a seminar on Secularism, in Calcutta.

1999 :

Organized a lecture and public meeting for Prof Mushirul Hassan, Prof Mohammad Ayub.

2000:

Co-sponsored with other Associations, a seminar on India's Nudear Weapons Program, addressed by Indian peace activists Praful Bidwai and Achin Vinaik.

2000-2006 :

Co-sponsored with other Indian community groups, several communal harmony meetings addressed by Indian activists e.g. Admiral Ramdas, Teesta Setalvad.

Co-sponsored a "No War, Peace Vigil" with other Indian and Pakistani organizations at the Indian and Pakistani Embassies, at a time when war between the two countries appeared imminent.

Co-sponsored a Symposium on South Asia at the Capitol Hill, Washington DC, to discuss the issue of terrorism in South Asian countries.

2006—present :

Co-sponsor the Independence Day and the Republic Day of India in collaboration with the India Cultural Coordination Committee (ICCC), and the National Association of Indian American Associations (NAIAA).

Participate in the observances of Diwali, Baisakhi, Christmas, Hanukkah at the Indian Embassy in Washington DC.
